Tracing its roots to the 1970s as Senkal Export, Senkal, Inc. has grown into a distinguished consulting, business services, and trading firm. Originally based in Turkey and later known as Karadeniz Dis Ticaret AS, Senkal, Inc. moved its HQ to the United States in 1995. Since 2003, our base in San Diego, CA has allowed us to focus on the Steelhead Salmon and Branzino Markets, ensuring we meet global demands while staying true to our heritage. Now a second-generation family business, Senkal, Inc. remains dedicated to quality, innovation, and international collaboration.
Pioneering Success and Industry Impact
Senkal, Inc. has been a trailblazer in the fishing industry, particularly within Turkey. In partnership with the Denizer Family -a name synonymous with Turkish fishing for over five generations- we co-created Turkey's Bluefin Tuna sector in collaboration with Japan, which has since become an essential component of the global tuna industry. Our impact extended further as one of the pioneers in Turkey's salmon industry, again close partnership with Denizer family, POLIFISH (www.polifish.com.tr) in Trabzon. These collaborations, initiated in the 1970s, continue to thrive today, reinforcing our shared legacy of success and industry leadership.

Over our 50-year journey, Senkal, Inc. has cultivated invaluable relationships with partners across Turkey, Japan, the USA, Canada, Malta, France, Italy, Greece, Algeria, Tunisia and beyond. This extensive network allows us to collaborate with numerous international and provide strategic services and advanced technological solutions. Our contributions during our partnership with Turan Denizer have particularly celebrated in Japan's tuna sector, even inspiring the 1980s Japanese book titled "Flying Tuna Fish in the Sky" details the early years of the Bluefin Tuna trade and Senkal / Denizer's pioneering role.
